Data Center is a place where all computer servers are kept which are connected to the internet. The atmospheric parameters like temperature and humidity in the data center are controlled.

This is done so that the servers do not get overheated and also to eliminate any moisture in the room. There will always be power backup in case the main supply goes down.

Such center operates 24x7 throughout the year.

Types of Data Center

In-house data center: Companies such as Google, Microsoft, IBM have their own facility from where they operate their servers.

Colocation data center: Here multiple organizations rent equipment, space, and bandwidth. Aspects like physical security, cooling, power etc are taking care by other firms
