When you approve of an Internet Service Provider, you may be allotted a static IP address or a dynamic IP address.  Which is why each user has a different IP address. Moreover, a static IP address can never change. It is deemed to be your permanent address on the Internet.

Static vs. Dynamic IP Addresses

You are already aware that static IP addresses are constant. Whereas, Dynamic IP addresses change regularly. For instance, dynamic IP addresses can change after you reset the router. a static IP address is stable and a dynamic IP address is used for a particular amount of time and will be delivered to an address pool so that rest of the devices can use it.

Another distinction between static and dynamic IP addresses is that the static addresses are all about uptime. While a dynamic IP address obtains a new IP address, you will be removed from the connection if you are connected to the existing one. You will have to wait for a fresh address to be found. If you need steadily active connections, dynamic IP addresses is not a good option.

Why Do You need a Static IP Address?

Considering that, a static IP address is constant, it makes reaching you very easy. For instance, you use networked printers, have a file server in your interface, or even use remote access programs. Because your IP address can never change, another device is already aware as to how to reach your device. If you are hosting a website from home, static IP addresses help reduce the troubles of adjusting router settings to send requests to changing IP addresses. If you decided to use a dynamic IP address and ignored to change any required router settings, no one can locate your website as your router is unaware of the device in your network is working for the website.
